WORD IN ACTION OUTREACH UK

The Saturday of the Pastors Conference and Healing Meeting arrived. I found myself confronted by about 350 Pastors and Bible Women. During the worship I remember saying to God, “I am only a person sitting on a pew in an Anglican Church, what can I teach them?” I basically surrendered during the worship, I had one Scripture, I read it out and the Holy Spirit yet again conducted the meeting. He spoke through me again in the afternoon session.

Then we went out to the one acre ground where the evening meeting was to take place. People just kept coming; there was a sea of faces lit by the lights the team had put up. Once again I had just one Scripture and I said to the Holy Spirit “shall we run with this one?” He said “yes, run with it”, I read out Luke 23:26-43 about the two thieves on the cross. Then the Holy Spirit took over. I preached to 5000 people and at the end 2000 raised their hands to receive Christ! The Pastors jumped into the crowd and prayed for the new believers and took their details. Pastor Joseph and I then started to take healing testimonies; the first one was from a blind woman, who could now see! The deaf heard, the lame walked cancers and chronic diseases were healed, demons delivered. It was awesome. The Lord also multiplied up the food, we had only catered for 1500 people. Everyone went home satisfied, and the angels had a big party in heaven that night I’m sure. God never fails.

The next day we travelled over to Pastor John’s (Joseph’s father) orphanage, received a wonderful welcome and coconut milk to drink. We then went onto the prison and Holy Spirit gave a message, many of the prisoners were touched and rededicated their lives to the Lord. Went to John’s congregation and preached on Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God”. Later we visited the leper colony which WIAO supports, we had a wonderful welcome the 56 lepers sang for us and worshipped God. I felt such a bond with them and such compassion.

Joseph and I had a request from one of the quarry women for saris, as after the fire in one of the slums many of the women did not have a change of clothes. We went to sari shop and had great favour with the owner, he gave us a very good price and he delivered them to the orphanage. Later that evening they were given out to the poor.

There were many other encounters over the ten days I was there. I feel truly humbled to be used of God in this way. I just think of Smith Wigglesworth’s words “ONLY BELIEVE”. God did far and above I could ever ask, hope or think. He is wonderful and uses the foolish things of this world to shame the wise.

TO HIM BE ALL THE GLORY AND HONOUR THAT IS DUE HIS NAME!
