LIFE IN A WIAO CHILDREN'S HOME

When poor and orphan children come to us, they are given a place in one of our WIAO Children's Homes. They are clothed, fed, given any medical treatment and then they will go to a local school.

The morning begins with prayer and worship, then breakfast and getting ready for school. The older boys and girls may do some household jobs before going to college. Some of the children in the nearby schools will return for lunch. Then back from school later they do some homework and play. There is a hot evening meal for everyone and then prayers, worship and bedtime. In the holidays we organize a Bible School and also sewing classes and other vocational skills for the older children, and there is also lots of time for playing together. Sometimes we will gather the children from several of our children's homes for a Sports Day or special other event.
